This is an excellent opportunity to get youngsters started in showing sheep. This noncompetitive showmanship will take place on Friday, at approximately 2:30 pm at the Waupaca County Fair.
RULES
1. ShowBuds will show a sheep provided at fair.
2. Classes will be divided if needed. All participants must be between the ages 4-9 (or up to junior fair eligibility)
3. Children need to have a parent/guardian, older sibling or junior showman at ringside.
4. Pre-registered youth will be given a complimentary T-Shirt to wear while they are showing. Youth registering at the fair may be given a T-Shirt depending on availability. T-Shirts are sponsored by Weyauwega Blacktop Tractor Pull.
5. Children will experience handling a sheep and demonstrating the basic showmanship skills.
The “judge” will ask each exhibitor a question or two related to the exhibitor and the sheep.
Examples include the following:
What is your name? What is the sheep's name? How old is your sheep?
